A Robbery I Saw

     One morning, I was walking along a street. Suddenly, I saw some robbers. I stopped at once to see what they were doing.

     The robbers attacked a hawker. The hawker had a lot of money in his bag. The robbers took all the hawker’s money and ran away.

     The poor hawker shouted for help. No one cared to listen to him. Everyone was afraid. I was also afraid to do anything to help him.

     The hawker now began to cry loudly. In a short while, the police came. The hawker told the police what had happened.

     The hawker then slowly went away, with tears in his eyes. I felt very sorry for him. The police too were very unhappy.

     Last Sunday evening, I was swimming at Port Dickson. I was in the water for a long time. It was indeed a great fun to be in the water.

     Suddenly, something prick on my toes. I felt great pain and was frightened. I rushed out of the water.

     I then saw a big crab on my toe. At once I killed the crab with a stone that I found nearby, but the pain still continued.

     I went to the hospital as quickly as I could. A doctor gave me some medicine. Soon, the pain was gone. Then, I went home, feeling happy.

An Exciting Night

     One night, I went to bed early. Suddenly, I heard a noise in the middle of the night. I woke up at once.

     I then saw many people running in one direction. Soon, I came to know that they were all running after a thief.

     The people caught the thief in a short while. Then, they called the police.

     The police came quickly. They took a report from the people who caught the thief. After that, they took the thief with them.

     It was indeed an exciting night. I shall remember it for a long time.

An Accident That Made Me Unhappy

     One day, I was travelling to the town by bus. At first, the bus ran slowly, but soon it began to run very fast.

     Then, suddenly, there was a loud noise. I was frightened. The bus had knocked down a young cyclist, a school girl. The bus stopped at one. All the passengers got down from the bus.

     The girl was unconscious. There was a lot of blood on the road. A big crowd quickly gathered round the bus. Some people then rushed the girl to the hospital.

     Soon, the police arrived and took a report. After that, I felt very unhappy. I took another bus to the town.

Some Money I Found

     When I was going out of a cinema, one evening, I found a purse. There was some money in it. The owner’s identity card was also in it.

     I took the purse home, thinking that I would keep the money myself. Then I thought it would be dishonest to do so. I decided to return the purse to its owner.

     I filed a police report in the nearest police station. Police officer was able to contact the owner based on the information from the identity card. The owner soon came to police station to collect the purse.

     The owner of the purse was a beautiful lady. She was pleased to meet me. When I returned the purse to her, she thanked me for being so honest.

     I was pleased with myself. I had not stolen her money.

An Exciting Day

     One early morning, I went to catch some fish in a stream. I looked at the water in the stream. I was sure that I would catch a lot of fish. I was very happy.

     The water was not deep. I could see the fish running here and there. I got down into the water with my net. Soon, I caught a lot of fish. It was indeed very interesting to catch the fish.

     Then, to my surprise, I saw a snake in my net. I was frightened. I did not know what to do.

     Suddenly, I dropped the net and ran out of the water. I was so frightened that I continued to run, until I reached home. I left all the fish behind.

     It was indeed an exciting day. I shall never forget it.

Frightened By Dogs

     I was catching fish, one evening. Suddenly, I heard some dogs barking.

     Within minutes, I saw three dogs running towards me. I was frightened.

     I quickly pick up a stick to protect myself from the dogs. Then, I began to run as fast as I could. The dogs were behind me. They wanted to catch me. I was soon getting tired but I could not stop. The barks of the dogs were very frightening.

     Suddenly, I would not hear the barks. I looked back. I was happy to find that the dogs had stopped following me. I stopped running.

     I shall always remember that day.

A Night In A Car

     One night, I was returning home with my brother in his car.

     Suddenly, the tyre burst. There was no spare tyre in the car. The nearest town was about twenty kilometers away.

     My brother and I tried to stop a passing car, but none cared to stop. We then decided to spend the night in the car.

     We could not sleep that night. We heard noises of insects and animals. We were afraid to close our eyes.

     Fortunately, nothing happened. The next morning, my brother took a bus to the nearest town. He soon return with a mechanic who fixed a new tyre.

     We then return home, feeling very happy. Our parents had been waiting for us all night.

Attacked By Bees

     One day I was walking to the town. I was feeling very thirsty. I looked around for some water. I then saw some coconut trees. There were many coconuts on them.

     I quickly climbed to a tree to pluck some coconuts. When I reached the top of the tree, I was surprised to see a big bee-hive. Many bees attacked me at once. I came down the trees as fast as I could.

     I received many cuts on my chest, as I came down. My face and body were swollen from the stings of the bees.

     I ran to the hospital as fast as I could. My face was so swollen that I could not open my eyes. Many small boys laughed at me.

     I suffered from the pain of the stings for almost a week. I shall never climb a coconut tree again.

Saved By Friends

     My friends and I went for a swim in a river, one fine day. I shall always remember that day.

     As I was swimming, one of my legs got caught in something. At once I thought of crocodiles and other water animals. I was frightened. I shouted for help.

     My friends came quickly to help me. One of them dived into the water. He freed my leg from some branches. I was saved. Fortunately, there were no crocodiles in that river.

     I thanked all my friends for saving me. Soon, we returned home. I shall always be thankful to my friends.

     I was sleeping in my room, one afternoon. Suddenly, my while house began to move. All the thing in the house began to fall to the floor. I woke up at once.

     I knew that it was an earthquake that made the house move like that. My mother, sisters and brothers were also in the house. They did not know what was happening.

     I shouted “Earthquake!” everyone in my house ran out of the house.

     When we were out of our house, we saw many people outside their houses. They too were frightened.

     Soon, the ground stopped moving. We were all relieved. We went back into our houses.

     One fine day, I bought some sugarcane which I like very much. Then I climbed a tree and sat on a branch.

     I began to eat the sugarcane. As I was eating the cane, I looked up to see how tall the tree was. To my surprise, I saw a snake moving silently towards me. I was so shocked that I jumped down from the tree.

     I could not run after that, as I had broken my leg. I sat on the grass and waited for help.

     Soon, a man came. When he knew that I had a broken leg, he took me to the nearest hospital.

     One evening, I went out for a walk along a lonely road.

     Suddenly, I heard a noise in a bush near the road. I was so frightened that I picked up a stick quickly.

Then, I waited and I heard the noise again. I soon saw movement in the bush. I was now sure that there was an animal nearby. I began to run towards home.

Within minutes, I was back home. I was not afraid any longer. From now on, I do not go out alone in the evening.

     One afternoon, I climbed a tree and sat on a branch. Then I began to look at the things around.

     Everything looked very beautiful. I felt very happy indeed. Then, I saw some buffaloes near the tree. A few of them were looking at me. I was frightened. I could not climb down.

     It was slowly growing darker, but the buffaloes were still there. A few of them continued to look at me now and then.

     At last, the owner of the buffaloes came. He took the buffaloes home. He did not see me.

     I then climbed down the tree quickly and ran home.

     Last Sunday, I went to the town and visited many shops.

     As I went round the shops, I bought a lot of things. I put the things in three bags. After that, I went to GSC Cinema to watch a movie.

     When the show was over, I was surprised to find one of my bags missing. All the best things were in that bag. I searched for it for a long time, but I could not find it. I was very upset.

     I had no choice but to return home, thinking about the things that I had lost.

A Narrow Escape

     One day I went hunting with one of my friends. We went deep into a forest.

     In the forest, we saw many kinds of beautiful birds and flowers. Unfortunately, we soon found that we had lost our way out. We were frightened.

     We searched and searched for a way out of the forest. It grew dark, but we still found no way out. Suddenly, there was a storm. A big branch of a tree broke and fell. It missed me only by a few meters. I had indeed had a very narrow escape from death.

     My friends and I spent the night in the forest. We heard the frightful cries of strange insects and animals. It was very unpleasant night indeed.

     Luckily, nothing happened to us. Early morning, we found our way out. We were very happy.

Climbing A Mountain

     One holiday a friend and I went out for mountain climbing. The scenery is beautiful. We took some photographs.

     My friend and I explored the thick forest for many hours. We felt exhausted and stopped at few places to rest.

     To make matters worse, we were continuously attacked by mosquitoes. At last, we were so annoyed that we stopped marching towards the mountain.

     We decided to end our expedition earlier. In a few hours, we were back home.

     I still laugh when I think of that day.

     One night I heard a sudden noise in my room. I switched on the light at once.

     I then saw a man in my room. I was so frightened that I began to shout. Hearing my screams, everyone in my house woke up.

     Soon, my parents and my elder brothers came to my room. The man was still in my room. My brothers spotted the man and caught him. He was a thief.

     My father then telephoned to the police station. In a short while, the police arrived. They took the thief with them.

     While I was walking home alone, one night, I heard some footsteps behind me.

     At once I looked back and saw two men following me. I was frightened. I began to run as fast as I could. The men too began to run after me.

     Fortunately, a police patrol car arrived in time. The car stopped near me. Some policemen came out of the car.

     The men were frightened. They ran away. The policemen chased after them. The men were too fast. They escaped.

     The policemen then took me home in their car. I thanked them for their kindness.
